For #Women’sHistoryMonth, Parenting for Liberation wants to honor Black mama’s who are doing the work of raising liberated children. Throughout the month of March we will highlight Black mamas who lead, inspire, and cultivate liberation in their homes and in the community. Some are public figures and others are connected to our network. We are happy to honor and shine light on their Black Mama Magic!
Today we salute Taraji P. Henson for speaking to the fear that many Black parents have about raising Black children.
“He has a really good heart. It’s just hard to know that the world can pick him out and turn him into a monster at any given moment. That’s what I fear, that’s something that I carry — I think every black mother does.”
