For #WomensHistoryMonth, Parenting for Liberation wants to honor Black mama’s who are doing the work of raising liberated children. Throughout the month of March we will highlight Black mamas who lead, inspire, and cultivate liberation in their homes and in the community. Some are public figures and others are connected to our network. We are happy to honor and shine light on their Black Mama Magic!

Today we salute Tarana Burke @taranaburke for reminding us to cultivate and celebrate the freedom within in our children.

“I’m so happy with who I’ve raised, the human being that I have responsibility for is big-hearted and free, and I learn from them….I didn’t give those things to them. That’s who they are. But I gave them the opportunity to grow into them freely.”
