For #WomensHistoryMonth, Parenting for Liberation wants to honor Black mama’s who are doing the work of raising liberated children. Throughout the month of March we will highlight Black mamas who lead, inspire, and cultivate liberation in their homes and in the community. Some are public figures and others are connected to our network. We are happy to honor and shine light on their Black Mama Magic!
Today we salute Nia Long @nialong for reminding us that being a mother does not require us being superwoman.
“It takes a village. I just do the best that I can do, and I don’t try to be superwoman. You just improve greatly, because…there’s this little person who watches everything you do. [Kids] are a direct reflection of the best part of ourselves.”
